Harmony of Spring – A Celebration of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Cultural Connection
丙午马年伊始，“华彩西澳·非遗焕新”在珀斯历史悠久的 His Majesty’s Theatre 成功举行。这场文化展演汇聚了来自中国江西的非物质文化遗产艺术，以音乐、舞蹈、戏曲、杂技和木偶艺术等形式，为西澳观众呈现了一场跨越文化与时代的艺术盛宴。
At the beginning of the Year of the Horse, Harmony of Spring – A Celebration of Intangible Cultural Heritage and Cultural Connection was presented at Perth's iconic His Majesty's Theatre. The performance brought together traditional art forms from Jiangxi Province, China, showcasing music, dance, opera, acrobatics and puppetry in a vibrant celebration of cultural exchange.
Bringing Eastern Aesthetics to a Mainstream Stage
作为西澳最具代表性的艺术殿堂之一，His Majesty’s Theatre 首次迎来了如此规模的中国非遗文化展演。来自政界、商界、教育界及社区的嘉宾与观众齐聚一堂，共同见证这一文化交流的重要时刻。
As one of Western Australia's most prestigious performing arts venues, His Majesty's Theatre provided the perfect setting for this large-scale presentation of Chinese intangible cultural heritage. Guests from government, business, education and community sectors joined audiences in celebrating this unique cultural milestone.
值得一提的是，现场超过半数观众为非华裔观众，许多本地家庭携孩子前来观演，体现了活动成功走入西澳主流公众视野。
More than half of the audience came from non-Chinese backgrounds, with many local families attending alongside their children, highlighting the event's success in reaching mainstream Western Australian audiences.
A Night of Artistic Excellence
演出汇集十四个精品节目，包括《百鸟朝凤》《青花叠韵》《贵妃醉酒》《秦俑魂》《梁祝》等经典作品。
The programme featured fourteen performances, including the renowned suona solo Hundreds of Birds Paying Homage to the Phoenix, the dance production Blue and White Elegance, the Peking Opera classic The Drunken Concubine, the contemporary dance work Soul of the Terracotta Warriors, and the beloved puppetry adaptation of Butterfly Lovers.
其中，《秦俑魂》特别呼应了西澳博物馆兵马俑特展，以当代舞蹈重新演绎中国古代文明，为观众带来跨越时空的文化体验。
A particular highlight was Soul of the Terracotta Warriors, created in response to the Western Australian Museum's internationally acclaimed Terracotta Warriors exhibition. The performance transformed ancient history into a contemporary artistic experience, creating a dialogue between past and present.
Beyond the Stage
演出结束后，艺术家们与国际木偶协会成员、西澳马戏界专业人士及本地艺术从业者展开深入交流，共同探讨传统艺术在国际语境中的传承与创新。
Following the performance, artists engaged in professional exchanges with members of UNIMA, Western Australian circus practitioners and local arts professionals, exploring opportunities for future cultural collaboration and artistic innovation.
与此同时，剧院外同步举办的“赣风鄱韵”文化市集，也让观众近距离体验中国书法、陶瓷、竹编及剪纸等传统文化项目。
Alongside the performance, audiences also explored the Ganfeng Poyun Cultural Market, featuring Chinese calligraphy, ceramics, bamboo weaving and paper-cutting, providing an immersive cultural experience beyond the theatre stage.
A Shared Cultural Experience
许多观众表示，这是他们第一次近距离接触中国传统艺术，而丰富的节目内容和高水准的演出让他们留下了深刻印象。
For many attendees, it was their first encounter with traditional Chinese performing arts. The diversity of the programme and the exceptional quality of the performances left a lasting impression on audiences from all cultural backgrounds.
来自西澳原住民社区的观众也分享了他们的感动与共鸣，印证了艺术跨越语言与文化界限、连接人心的力量。
Audience members from Indigenous communities also shared their emotional responses to the performances, demonstrating the ability of art to transcend language and cultural boundaries.
